Notes
Recommended for Belgian strong ale, dubbel, quad, Belgian dark strong.
Character: Fruit esters, alcohol and banana character; high attenuation.
A high-attenuation, high-tolerance Belgian strain built for strong dark ales, tolerating 12% alcohol and finishing dry with plenty of fruit and banana ester. This is the strain for a big Belgian; for a lighter, cleaner abbey beer use the Belgian Abbey strain instead.
