Notes
Typical use: Aroma / dual-purpose. Recommended for New Zealand IPA, hazy pale, American IPA.
Aroma: White grape, gooseberry and grapefruit with tropical fruit, likened to Sauvignon Blanc wine.
New Zealand's signature hop, unmistakable for its white-wine and gooseberry aroma that gave it the Sauvignon Blanc name. Unusually humulene-dominant for a fruity hop, which is part of its distinct character. Divisive at high doses, but nothing else replaces its grape-and-gooseberry note.
