Notes
Typical use: Dual-purpose. Recommended for American lager, amber, American ale, stout.
Aroma: Blackberry and spice with a gentle floral touch, and woody, herbal notes in the beer.
One of the oldest American hops, a dual-purpose variety with a spicy-blackberry character and a high cohumulone that gives a firmer bitterness. It was the workhorse of American brewing before the aroma hops arrived. Still a dependable, inexpensive bittering and light-aroma hop for traditional American styles.
