Notes
Recommended for German Pilsner, helles, Marzen, any clean lager.
Character: Clean, neutral and malty; the liquid form of the 34/70 strain.
The liquid Weihenstephan 34/70, the same strain as SafLager W-34/70, and the reference clean German lager yeast. Low ester and low higher alcohol give the neutral base a delicate lager needs. Ferment it cold and lager it; pitched warm it throws sulphur and fruit a clean lager should not have.
