Notes
Typical use: Aroma. Recommended for English bitter, porter, brown ale, cask ale.
Aroma: Woody spiciness of tonka bean, cognac, hay and curry, with green tea, cress and celeriac freshness.
The other classic English hop, earthier and more herbal than East Kent Golding and the two are often paired. Low alpha keeps it an aroma hop, and its high humulene and farnesene give the woody, minty character of a traditional English ale. A cornerstone of porters, milds and bitters for over a century.
