Substitution
Sabro (United States)
Sabro has no close substitute; blend Citra with a light coconut character
Original hop vs substitute
| Out of | Sabro (United States) |
|---|---|
| Closest substitute | Sabro has no close substitute; blend Citra with a light coconut character |
| Original alpha acid | 11.6 to 17 % |
| Original myrcene | 26.2 to 60 % |
| Original aroma | Tangerine, pineapple and peach with a strong coconut and vanilla creaminess, and hints of cedar, dill and mint |
Notes
Sabro's coconut-and-cream character is unique, so there is no single-hop swap; a tropical hop such as Citra covers the fruit but not the creaminess.
Accept that the coconut note will be lost with any substitute; use Citra or Ekuanot for the tangerine-and-stone-fruit base and keep the charge modest as Sabro would be.
